We took a longer route through Catskills, crossed Rip Van Winkle bridge over the Hudson river and drove in a pleasant weather on the Massachusettes turnpike. Historic downtown is architecturally more ecclectic than Philadelphia, but what a place. Just in trhe center is an old cemetary where lay Ben Franklin's parents, Samuel Adams, Paul Revere and other founding patriots. I was fascinated with contrasting views of downtown old churches and building on thge foreground of skyscrapers. Not, that I particularly liked it, but I cannot deny certain enticing beauty to this visual set. Ho,me we drove, with a Boston skyline behind, in the rain....
